The sealed Slipway track is nested in the Brooklyn Hills behind Wellington City. It is a private facility that can be hired by any person. While it is primarily a drift venue, other car clubs do hire the track for use as an autocross venue.  The venue is very smooth ashphalt with tyre walls on the perimter.  Members of HCCC are able to use the venue for car set up and testing also.  

Venue Requirements

• Clubsport Basic events are run here
• Helmet (Up to schedule A standard) and 100% Cotton Overalls are required
• NO Roll cage is required for this event
• IF you are driving the car to the event it must be warranted and registered

The access road is steep and gravel based, and only wide enough for only one way travel. Care is recommended for low vehicles and those towing their vehicle to the event. Being on private property the access road is only open when an event is occuring. Access to the entry road is via the Brooklyn Wind Turbine car park. Competitors meet at this car park at the beginning of the day and travel to the venue together. The car park is located at the top of the wind turbine access road that is connected to Ashton Fitchett Drive in Brooklyn.
